Top-20 Albums for 2013, no.5: Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience 1 of 2

This was an album that was long awaited: seven years since his previous outing, Justin Timberlake returned last spring with a tour-de-force project, taking the music world by storm. All his usual collaborators are here: Timbaland, Jerome Harmon, Timothy Mosley and James Fauntleroy with Jay-Z being the only guest on the first single, Suit & Tie. It showcases his talent perfectly, his love for soul music and R&B music. It moves forward from his previous work while keeping an eye firmly on the past (his own as well as a more distant one). Very much near perfection, like the title says.
